Merge Images Online

Merge two photos side by side or vertically, or combine four images in a 2x2 grid. Preserve or normalize sizes and download PNG, JPEG, or WebP.

About Merge Images Online

Merge multiple images in split layouts (2 or 4 images).

The tool is designed to process data in the browser unless the interface explicitly states that a network request is required.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter or select the image, photo, picture value you want to work with.
  2. Review the available settings, then run the merge action.
  3. Review the merged image, collage output and use the copy or download action when the tool provides one.

What you can do with Image Merger

  • Combine four photos
  • Join two images

What this conversion does

Join a pair of images horizontally or vertically, or assemble four images into one 2x2 grid.

Example input

Two 800x600 images, 2-image layout, Horizontal, Preserve Original, PNG

Example output

One 1600x600 image, saved as merged-image-<timestamp>.png

Practical workflow

  1. Choose 2 Images or 4 Images before uploading; changing the layout clears the loaded files.
  2. Click the upload control in every slot. For two images, choose Horizontal or Vertical; four images use a 2x2 grid.
  3. Choose Preserve Original, Normalize Size, or Custom Size. The canvas background is white and spacing is fixed.
  4. Choose PNG, JPEG, or WebP, click Merge Images, inspect or enlarge the result, and download. Re-merge after changing output settings.

Common use cases

  • Create before-and-after comparison graphics for presentations and social media.
  • Stitch full-page screenshot fragments into a continuous image.
  • Combine receipts, photos, and scanned documents into a single shareable file.

Important notes and limitations

  • Canvas processing stays in your browser; image files are not uploaded.
  • Normalization and custom sizing preserve each image's aspect ratio inside its slot, adding white padding where needed.
  • PNG avoids extra lossy export compression; JPEG and WebP use the quality slider. Resizing can still change image detail.

Frequently asked questions

Are my uploaded photos safe and private?

Yes, 100% private. All photo stitching is performed locally in your browser using client-side Canvas APIs. Images never leave your computer.

Can I merge images with different resolutions and dimensions?

Yes. Preserve Original keeps source dimensions, Normalize Size fits images into equal-size slots, and Custom Size sets individual slot dimensions. Unfilled canvas space is white; there is no background-color or spacing control.

What export formats are supported?

PNG, JPEG, and WebP. The canvas has a white background, so the PNG output does not preserve transparent areas. JPEG and WebP use the quality slider.

Can I combine three images or more than four?

The available layouts require exactly two or exactly four images. There is no three-image or unlimited-image layout. For a larger composite, save an intermediate result and merge it with another image in a later pass.
